Mount Zion Temple is a Reform Jewish synagogue located at 1300 Summit Avenue, in St. Paul, Minnesota, in the United States. Founded in 1856 as Mount Zion Hebrew Association, it was the first Jewish congregation in Minnesota. The congregation was formed before the statehood of Minnesota in 1858.

Synagogue Timeline: This Carto animated map visualization depicts the movement of the Mount Zion community as it went from roots in Downtown St. Paul (in the Lowertown neighborhood circa 1856) to each subsequent temple westward.
The first building was erected at 10th and Minnesota Streets in downtown Saint Paul. In 1871 they hired their first rabbi, Rabbi Leopold Wintner, a Hungarian immigrant who had a liberal spirit. Mount Zion joined the Reform Movement officially in 1878.
Their first building, completed in 1871, was a simple Gothic-style frame structure in downtown St. Paul. In 1881 the next, much larger new structure, at 10th and Minnesota (no longer standing) exhibited many of the Moorish-style elements that were then popular at the time.
