At the base of the mountain will be some mountain troll settlements and a large group of rock crabs. When players reach the summit, find the Mountain Guide and speak with him to unlock a travel point between the mountain, the Wall, and south of Mount Quidamortem. This will save a considerable amount of time should players enter from Shayzien.
While not as fast as other burst tasks due to their slower respawn rate and non-zero magic defence, players can kill the mountain trolls in the multicombat area immediately south of Mount Quidamortem at reasonable speed with burst or barrage spells.

The Mountain Guide is found with the Varrock Museum expedition on Mount Quidamortem, along with the Natural Historian, Historian Duffy, and Gnosi. He is able to take players back and forth between Mount Quidamortem, Shayziens' Wall, and south of Mount Quidamortem.
A few steps south of the entrance to the Chambers of Xeric on Mount Quidamortem, there are two easily-accessible multi combat spots with mountain trolls, perfect for a quick slayer task. Thanks to the monster density, it’s also the best place to just normally do your task (without a cannon).
