Red Line 5W50 is a thick oil but at 100 degree C, it is a 50 grade oil just like the Motorcraft so I don't see where you are evaluating it is 2 grades thicker than MC.

14 lut 2024 · Any API certified 5w50 synthetic oil will be acceptable from a warranty perspective, and many great 5w50 oils are available for a good price. I suggest you look for the monthly sales at Napa Auto Parts for Mobil 1 5w50 and Castrol Syntec 5w50, which usually pop up around $7 a quart.
