   7 lut 2023 · Motorcraft 5w50 shears like crazy, it’s been mentioned on here a lot so I figured it would have. I read somewhere that’s it best for shorter runs, plus I change at 5-6k on everything I own. I try to avoid any timing chain/ phaser issues.

   13 sie 2010 · 5W50 is the OEM spec oil for the GT500. Oil pressure gauge reads the same at beginning and end of OCI. Yes I am currently using Red Line 5W50 in the 5.4L motor. Red Line 5W50 is a thick oil but at 100 degree C, it is a 50 grade oil just like the Motorcraft so I don't see where you are evaluating it is 2 grades thicker than MC.

   3 cze 2005 · Motorcraft 5w-50 is an excellent oil. There's no need to use anything else and you sure won't have any warranty questions about your choice of oil. The Valvoline oil that Roush uses is evidently an exact match with similar viscosity Motorcraft oil.

   13 sie 2010 · The sample was taken from a left-over open bottle from my previous oil change last April 2010. I purchased the oil just before. I don't know whether the results would be any different had I shook up the bottle before taking the sample.
