13 sie 2010 · 0.06% would be 600ppm. The max is 0.08% so the range for resource conserving would be 600-800ppm. I cant imagine a 5W50 being resource conserving, so technically, no max exists.
13 sie 2010 · 5W50 is the OEM spec oil for the GT500. Oil pressure gauge reads the same at beginning and end of OCI. Yes I am currently using Red Line 5W50 in the 5.4L motor. Red Line 5W50 is a thick oil but at 100 degree C, it is a 50 grade oil just like the Motorcraft so I don't see where you are evaluating it is 2 grades thicker than MC.
26 gru 2018 · The Mobil1 5W50 I believe uses a higher quality base oil and has a lower hot viscosity, which leads me to believe it has less VII's and, therefore, less sheering. Mobil1 is also A3/B4 which I believe Motorcraft is not.

14 lut 2024 · Any API certified 5w50 synthetic oil will be acceptable from a warranty perspective, and many great 5w50 oils are available for a good price. I suggest you look for the monthly sales at Napa Auto Parts for Mobil 1 5w50 and Castrol Syntec 5w50, which usually pop up around $7 a quart.
14 gru 2006 · For the last oil change in my truck, I decided to run Motorcraft's 5w50 full synthetic oil for the benefit of a full-synthetic in a 5 weight, but with 50 weight heat protection.
