5 mar 2010 · If it's an air- cooled Briggs, there is a breather filter under the air filter that gets clogged and causes the problem you're describing. When you remove the filter, remove the plate that it rests on and you'll see a rubber hose with a couple of angle turns molded into it.
2 wrz 2016 · #1. Craftsman ZTS 6000 with model 331677 Platinum engine started smoking intermittently and is leaking oil. It looks like the leak is coming from the fuel pump.?? The air filter was dirty and was replaced with a new one with no change. Compression wet/dry both 120 psi.
26 sie 2009 · This leak did coincide with an oil change from Castrol 20w50 to Mobil 5w40. (had the 20w50 in it to slow the prior leak from the front seal). It doesn't start leaking noticeably until the engine gets real hot.
