Zimmer Power Station, a coal-fired power plant that was converted from a planned nuclear power plant during construction, is partially located within village limits. It is located near the Ulysses S. Grant Birthplace.
History of Moscow. The Village of Moscow had its plat recorded in 1816 by owner Owen Davis. The name of Moscow may have been from the officers of Napoleon's army who fled to the United States after his defeat at the Russian city.
