Augsburg PA Curriculum Degree Requirements 2023-2024. The Physician Assistant program at Augsburg is approximately 27 months long with studies beginning each year in the summer semester. The program accepts up to 33 students for each new class. Graduates will receive a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
PREREQUISITE COURSES. Prerequisite courses must be completed at a regionally accredited two-year or four-year college or university; online courses from directly accredited institutions are also accepted. Students must earn a B or better in all prerequisite courses.
All applications to the Augsburg PA Program must be processed through CASPA, following all guidelines and regulations set forth by the application service. CASPA charges $179 for the first program you apply to and $56 for each additional program.
The Physician Assistant Studies Program at Augsburg University was established in 1995 and was the first accredited PA program in Minnesota. Students are trained using an active-learning model which incorporates case-based small group discussions, in-lecture clinical vignettes, and hands-on skill-based workshops.
