Founded in 2000, this family-run gem is a toast to the Italian-Americans who, two decades ago, decided to bring a slice of Tuscan winemaking tradition right here in California.

20 lis 2022 · A chance stop at a diner in the agricultural community of Chicago Park in Nevada County proved fortuitous. He bought high elevation property the next year, planted the estate vineyard, and never looked back. Montoliva Vineyards & Winery doesn't have a lot of company in Nevada County.
Located in the agricultural hamlet of Chicago Park, Montoliva Vineyard & Winery creates Tuscan-inspired quality wines by eschewing “New World” trends to focus on wines of uncompromising depth and complexity using “Old World” techniques of extended maceration and long-term barrel maturation.
The Montoliva wines are balanced, a bit rustic, and calling for food, similar to Italian wines. You’ll see “Chicago Park” prominently on the labels for Montoliva, although it’s not a recognized AVA. Technically Montoliva is in the Sierra Foothills, but Henry doesn’t prefer to use
