Corysa Martinez has served on the City Council since November 2019. In 2020, she was elected to her seat uncontested to complete the term through 2022, and she was re-elected to serve a full term in November 2022. Corysa grew up in the City of Montclair and attended local schools.

The City of Montclair is a General Law City and operates as a City Council-City Manager form of government, which the City Manager manages the day-to-day operations. The City Council meeting is held on the first and third Monday of each month beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Montclair City Council will meet Monday, May 16, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. for a regular meeting in the Council Chambers, 5111 Benito Street. | 𝗛𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁. The public may participate in-person or via Zoom/telephone using the regular Zoom meeting protocols. 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺. The meetings will be live-streamed on YouTube.
