1 wrz 2010 · This is a report of two cases of monozygotic triplet pregnancies after single blastocyst transfer and a review of the current concepts of the pathogenesis of multiple monozygotic pregnancies as well as the options for managing these high-risk pregnancies.
Despite the increased incidence after ART, monozygotic triplets are still rare, and to the best of our knowledge, there have been 20 reports of MCTA triplets published in the literature since 1994 (Table 1), and only 6 resulted from the transfer of a single embryo.
