  6. 2 cze 2020 · To clarify, the 8 pin on the motherboard is an EPS header for your CPU. You keep talking about GPU power, which is a DIFFERENT 8 pin connector that would be attached directly to the GPU if required. Lower end GPUs get enough power through the PCI slot via the 24 pin connector.

  7. 18 paź 2023 · PSUs without 8-pin connectors are problematically old at this point. Molex to 8-pin adapters are also problematic as two Molex connectors (and likely the wiring used) are rated for much less wattage than a GPU can pull through an 8-pin PCI-E connector.
