Got a new gaming computer yesterday and reinstalled all of my games from Origin, Steam, Epic Games and Ubisoft. All my other games launch properly, however, my Sims 3 Just will not launch. I've tried repairing and uninstalling the game, still to no avail.

So I just got the sims 3 and the things that come with ea play (from my xbox game pass) and now it wont launch! I already tried restarting my pc and repairing the game but that didnt work. However, the Sims 4 comes up with the ea play icon but the sims 3 does not.
Had the same problem today. Do you have a 12th gen CPU? Sims 3 didn’t launch because of that for me. But there is a fix from lazyduchess: https://modthesims.info/d/667734/intel-alder-lake-patch.html. That fixed it for me!
Repairing the game via the EA app. However, I am still unable to open the game past the launcher. There is NO error message – the game simply will not open once I press play on the launcher. I have no mods or anything else that could interfere with the game.
This ultimately fixed it for me, after trying several things including a reinstall and many listed in this thread: Find the game's installation folder. Mine was in C:\XboxGames\Dune- Spice Wars\Content\. But you can find it via the gamepass app if you right-click on the game and browse for files.
If you can run Origin, and most but not all players can, repair the game: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 3 icon, and select Repair. Then try to launch Sims 3 while using the Task Manager method again and let me know whether it works.
So I recently downloaded Sims 3 through Origin, and I have the Late Night, Generations, World Adventures, and High End Loft stuff packs. It has been working fine since I got it then suddenly when I try to load it (By clicking the Sims 3 icon from my desktop like I always do) it doesn't Launch.
