All you need is the Brookman XB2 (I bought mine on Amazon back in December) and you can use ANY controller on the 360. I use it and love using my Series X controller on the 360 (and OG Xbox) for games that are stuck there due to not getting backwards compatibility love.
Using Modern Controllers. With a NAND patch or a Dashlaunch plugin, it is possible to use almost any controller that behaves as a 360 controller on a modded Xbox 360, bypassing the need for a passthrough or a cloned security chip.

Version 4 creates "Virtual Xbox 360 Controller" inside your Windows operating system when running. Version 4 is no longer use INI or DLL files inside the game folder. This allows for x360ce.exe to support more modern games.
