I've looked over the SteamCMD site and picked through some content on hosting Ark servers in general, but I haven't found a clear answer yet. I did find a reference to updating Half-Life dedicated server mods but it didn't seem clear if that was really for updating or how to make that work for Ark.
its probably the other way around.......steam should automatically update your mods on your pc, but the server you play on may not have been updated yet....some admins have it on auto, which can be slower to update, and some have it on manual, and may not have done it yet.
Command Center will not automatically update your server because it might break something if you are using any mods or customizations. Follow these instructions to update your server: Login to Command Center. From the Servers page, click Manage next to the game you want to update.
