Membership in the Tenth Judicial District Bar is mandatory for attorneys who are active and live or practice in Wake County, North Carolina. The Tenth Judicial District Bar investigates grievances of the public toward attorneys, handles fee disputes with attorneys and conducts judicial elections.
The North Carolina State Bar has 44 geographic subdivisions called “judicial district bars” (often also referred to as “district bars”). By statute, judicial district bars are coterminous with prosecutorial districts. See N.C. Gen. Stat. 84-19.
Founded in 1925, the Wake County Bar Association (WCBA) serves as the voluntary bar association for the 10th Judicial District of North Carolina.

We are excited to share that Russell Babb has been elected President-Elect of the 10th Judicial District Bar by vote of the membership at its Annual Meeting on December 3. With approximately 6,000 lawyer members, the 10th Judicial District Bar is the largest mandatory Bar organization in North Carolina.
