19 wrz 2023 · The compromised Free Download Manager website has been replaced. All the Free Download Manager users who downloaded FDM for Linux between 2020 and 2022 should scan their computers for malware. Malwarebytes Browser Guard users will receive a warning when they try to visit this domain.
17 lip 2004 · You can disable automatic updates in the registry. I have uninstalled FDM because it changed my user-agent string and keeps me from accessing some websites. If I remember correctly, look for a registry key called Vicman Software.

It appears that a specific web page on our site was compromised by a Ukrainian hacker group, exploiting it to distribute malicious software. Only a small subset of users, specifically those who attempted to download FDM for Linux between 2020 and 2022, were potentially exposed.
23 paź 2020 · Try uninstalling it in Settings > Apps > Apps & Features, restart PC, then reinstall it from a fresh download on their website here: https://www.freedownloadmanager.org/download.htm. If that doesn't work then it may be deprecated with the latest version.
