Basically, you can do this program training only 2 days per week. That’s how I’ve designed it so that you can still get results while also balancing an MMA training schedule.

The first concept to understand about strength training for MMA is that unless you’re a heavyweight, we’re all about relative strength vs. absolute strength. MMA is a weight class sport after all so it’s all about maintaining a certain weight while improving strength, power and endurance.
This sample one-week workout plan for an MMA fighter includes sessions focusing on agility and strength, conditioning and endurance, upper body strength and plyometrics, lower body strength and power, MMA-specific training, and an active recovery day.
Day 3. The above program is a general program, with exercises included for strength, endurance and power. Ideally a program should be periodised into phases which look to develop different measures of MMA fitness in isolation. For example, a power phase, would usually incorporate Olympic Lifts and plyometrics.
