You will typically hear Gray Tree Frogs (Hyla versicolor) around wooded habitats near water suitable for breeding, from backyards to forests to swamps. We have even found them on the outside of our windows at night!
26 kwi 2023 · Some of the most familiar noises produced by tree frogs include the sound of spring peepers (which have smaller toe pads and don’t spend much time in trees), calls of gray tree frogs, and the sounds of the Pacific Tree Frog.
Didn’t hear the frog sound my cousin hears at night living in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Sounds like a laid back Kookaburra call. We assume it’s a frog as it’s only at night and bird’s and squirrels are mostly quiet at night.
23 kwi 2023 · Tree frogs spend their days in trees, and at night they hunt for food, mostly insects. Tree frogs get down from their trees when the mating season begins, from March to August. Their mating call is quite musical.
