26 gru 2017 · This thread is to share a (hopefully quick) overhaul of a secondhand Minimax S45 bandsaw in real time. I'm working on this with my buddy Deema and our aim for the saw is to give it a good clean, a thorough mechanical overhaul and ensure the electrics are safe and robust.
The SCM Minimax S 45n is an entry-level band saw for hobbyists and small professional workshops. It is a unique machine among SCM’s band saws, and lacks a few features that all their other band saws have.
The minimax s 45n is an SCM Group made 2.5hp motor bandsaw. With over 20 years of service to the American Market and produced on the same line as the world-famous combination machine line, the S45N is a great saw for custom furniture makers.

24 sie 2024 · I have an older Minimax S45 bandsaw that is in need of a new motor. After doing some research it appears that a single phase IEC motor with a face mounting exist but are near impossible to source. I was kicking around the idea of trying to replace it with a standard base mount NEMA motor and use some angle iron to fabricate a L bracket to mount ...
18 lis 2012 · The SCM S45 specification is that it takes anything between 6mm and 20mm wide blades. We also wanted to cover the range of materials Tuffsaws provide for blades. From standard carbon steel blades to the more expensive but far longer lasting M42 which is what I use on my own bandsaw.
