26 gru 2017 · This thread is to share a (hopefully quick) overhaul of a secondhand Minimax S45 bandsaw in real time. I'm working on this with my buddy Deema and our aim for the saw is to give it a good clean, a thorough mechanical overhaul and ensure the electrics are safe and robust.

9 paź 2016 · My new old Mini Max 17" S45 bandsaw, looking for any model info and tips... Just picked up this used MiniMax S45 bandsaw in very good condition. It has a 3/4 in blade on it. it runs quiet and smooth and the blade seems to track nicely.
Hand tightening a 100mm diameter knob on top of a bandsaw, this is equivalent to over 50Kg of force. I would judge this sufficient for any reasonable expected use. For a final check, the yield strength of 8.8 grade threaded fasteners in the 10mm range is given as 640 MPa
16 sty 2022 · The S45 is a strong saw with a really good frame. Nothing to worry about there. The possible benefits of releasing tension on the blade are taking pressure off 1. the bandsaw tyres 2. the top and bottom wheel bearings from the blade sitting under tension in one position.
The minimax s 45n band saw is equipped with a cast iron work table, very thick cast iron wheels running on sealed for life ball bearings. This positively affect the machine solidity and therefore its stability. The sturdiness of this band saw guarantees precision and therefore reliability.
