24 gru 2012 · A standard show cart would be easiest... it pretty much centers around the shafts, so a shaft and singletree kit would get me most of the way there. That would sure sit low though, sized for a mini. Looks like no suspension, so that might be a bit rough on trails.
4 gru 2009 · We use wood shafts, not pipe, for safety, but there are carriage builders out there that use a certain kind of pipe for carts, such as the Smart Cart. Our specialty wooden parts are ultimately produced by Amish suppliers in Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania.
A pony cart is a type of wagon with either two or four wheels that is designed to be attached to a a miniature horse or small pony. Two-wheel pony carts are generally less stable, but can also be less expensive given there aren’t as many parts that make them up.

3 gru 2007 · Does anyone know where we can get directions/plans to build a simple mini horse cart or wagon. I have seen the amish in our area use what looks like almost a "radio flyer style wagon" for a hitched wagon.
This is an economical way to drive a pair of minis or small ponies. This cart is great for pleasure driving or you can add the trailer hitch and use for towing lawn mowers dump trailers, etc. You can easily switch from team pole to single shafts.
