22 paź 2009 · If you're running the stock setup, technically you’ve got a dry clutch and those bearings don’t see a lick of lubrication (at least from the oil in the primary) anyway. The only lube they get is from the grease you put on them during routine maintenance.
21 lis 2013 · I have a '75 shovel with a ratchet top and I want to run a 1.5" open primary and jockey shift. I just bought an in the package jockey shift set up from a swap and now it's time to pick up a belt drive. Anything i should know? I was planning on just getting a BDL 1.5.
25 sty 2024 · Bdl belt drive on shovelhead. Having trouble with fitment of rear pulley with scorpion clutch. Hitting inner primary and starter driver. Looks like you are trying to install a primary belt drive made for a chain final drive four speed, on a bike with a belt final drive inner primary. Won't work, wrong parts.
7 gru 2023 · Looking for an open belt drive setup for my shovelhead. I feel like I've seen guys running 1.5" wide open belts, but BDL or Primo, or Karata, all say the 1.5" kits are supposed to be enclosed and you gotta go to the 2" setup.
31 maj 2017 · Well I've been gathering parts to convert my '73 from rear chain drive to Belt drive. I plan to start tomorrow. I will take some pics and try to post them with the new easy pic posts.
16 lut 2006 · I just got done installing a 5 stud long roller hub and a clutch tamer on my 82 5 speed. It has a primo (I think) 2" belt primary. It seems that I cant fit the last disk and plate in with out having my springs totally compressed.
15 sty 2022 · So to make this upgrade, I would need a 5 speed trans, clutch, electric start components and a new belt drive. Any suggestions or comments regarding the complexity of this upgrade, or which components would fit and work best would be appreciated.
