We make our own, for many reasons. it’s cheaper; it’s healthier; I know exactly what’s in it; I can control it for health and wellness purposes; We started making our own feed last summer when we had health problems in our herd. It was the best decision we made!

She feeds the milking does twice a day up to 3 lbs of feed per day, with extra sunflower seeds. The other goats are also fed twice daily up to 1 lbs of this homemade feed. 21 mar 2023 · Bottle Feeding Goats Step-by-Step. Prepare the kid’s milk (see options below) and place it into a bottle with a goat teat. Gently open the goat’s mouth and slide the nipple in. Hold the bottle up at an angle to mimic the angle of the mama’s teats.
30 mar 2017 · What do you feed a baby goat? Goat milk is best, and I prefer raw milk because it has all of the antibodies intact. However, if the milk comes from a doe that has CAE, Johne’s, or another infectious disease, then the milk needs to be pasteurized so that the kid does not get infected.
What to Bottle Feed a Goat: If possible we use our raw goat milk to feed the babies, but if that is not an option this is the recipe we use as a milk replacer: 1 gallon of whole cow’s milk (from the store is fine) 1 cup cultured buttermilk; 1 can of evaporated milk
