24 lip 2024 · In 2025, the Department of Defense is asking for a 4.5% increase in the national average for Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH). If approved in the defense budget, the increased rate will be applied to all military branches starting on January 1, 2025.
To lookup rates, use the BAH calculator. Individual rate protection prevents a member from receiving a lower BAH rate than the previous year, as long as the BAH eligibility status of a service member remains unchanged.
