Currently there are some upgrades available to the Zune, such as, batteries and SSDs. Most of us are aware of the SSD, so I will skip that. Batteries on the other hand most of us only get replacement 800mAh batteries, when in fact, there are better ones out there.

The Zune HD shares a similar design space as non-Sim smart iPods in that they're meant as replacement smartphones whereas the Z30 was designed exclusively as an MP3 player. And personally I think the iPod classic holds up better than any vintage iPod touch.
