15 gru 2016 · I run Windows 7 64-bit and want to run XP to use old software. XP installed OK in VirtualBox, but the window in which it runs is 11" diagonally, even if I choose V iew/ F ull-screen mode in the XP window. Then the XP window just gets a thick black border but is still 11" diagonally.
11 kwi 2020 · The guest windows xp pro. The aim was to use this virtual machine for retro gaming as the 16 bit applications do not start on windows 10. The virtual machine works perfectly but when I run the game in fullscreen it remains small in the center and is not scaled to the screen resolution ( 1080p).
19 lip 2016 · This is looking like a problem with the guest OS, not with VirtualBox. In the manager GUI, File|Preferences|Display, try setting the "Maximum Guest Screen Size" field to "None", then shut down and restart the guest.
On our old Windows XP computers the resolution is 1024x768 and the shortcut that calls the DOS program has the option set to run in full screen. As soon as you double click it the DOS app loads full screen. Exiting it returns you to the Windows XP desktop.

7 sty 2021 · Host: Win 10, 1920x1080. Guest: Win XP, 800x600. A simple illustration of what I want: In "fullscreen" mode the whole screen is black and there is a small 800x600 viewport in the middle. I want it to behave similarly to normal fullscreen apps, which stretch their viewport ignoring aspect ratio.
