Outlook doesn’t even add the Gmail IMAP folder (All Mail) which stores a copy of all non-spam emails to list of IMAP folders for that account.

15 mar 2015 · When I use Shift+Delete on Outlook 2013 to delete emails permanently from my Gmail account's inbox, the emails don't get deleted from Gmail; instead, they become archived in Gmail. If I try to delete the emails by just pressing the "Delete" key, the emails go to Gmail's Trash folder in Outlook.
13 sie 2016 · Deleting an email in Outlook does not delete the mail from the server most of the time. In most cases it will be deleted in Outlook, but in the gmail.com web view, it sends a copy to trash, but keeps a copy without a label in the "All Mail" view.
9 lut 2022 · In Outlook, there is no option to select the Deleted Items (Trash) folder for your Gmail IMAP account as Outlook takes great care to autodetect that. To process the items that you delete and actually delete them, you need to enable the option to purge the items when switching folders.
When I delete an email using Outlook (Office 365, latest version) and check from the Gmail web interface, the email is in the Trash folder. Now if I empty the trash folder emails should be permanently deleted. But instead, they are archived in the “All Emails” folder.
