I'm not sure if the problem is Outlook is doing something to trigger gmail into thinking the account needs to be secured (I'm trying to find out what changed in the update that could trigger this) - if you want, you can try rolling back to the previous build - it's is easy enough.

I had two-step verification set up with a phone number I no longer use and now I can't access my account. Every time I log in from any device, I'm asked to enter a code sent to that phone number. I suppose my account will have to be reset externally.
