5 mar 2022 · I use Outlook 2013 and 2019 (desktop app, not Office 365) to access gmail via IMAP. The email also advised that I need to upgrade to Outlook 2019. I just did a test by turning off "Less secure app access". Neither Outlook 2013 nor 2019 is able to access Gmail's IMAP servers.
