In Outlook, choose File > Account Settings > Manage Profile Accounts>Email Accounts. Select Change. Type the new password into the password field then select NEXT. Sometimes add-ins can conflict with Outlook.
12 maj 2024 · Using the new Gmail Password I am able to log onto Gmail via the web, and have verified the new Gmail password is correct. However, when I changed the password for my Gmail account in Outlook it would not connect w/ the Gmail server.
23 kwi 2024 · When I go into Mail Setup and try to change the password in Email accounts, I get "Something went wrong and Outlook couldn't update your password. Please verify your password and try again. If the problem continues, contact your email administrator."

15 wrz 2019 · It should work if you enable 2-step authentication. I'm not sure if the problem is Outlook is doing something to trigger gmail into thinking the account needs to be secured (I'm trying to find out what changed in the update that could trigger this) - if you want, you can try rolling back to the previous build - it's is easy enough.
