Mia Klein | Shafer Vineyards. 67 minutes. As a teenager Mia Klein wanted to be a chef. In her first job as a cook, however, she discovered wine and a whole new path opened up for her. In 1984 she landed her first job at Chappellet.
Mia Klein established her own wine Selene Wines in 1991 after nearly a decade of working in Napa Valley as a consultant. She is a Graduate of the UC Davis and makes her wines using fruit from Larry Hyde’s esteemed Carneros vineyard. She is most likely one of California’s most sought-after winemakers, with clients such as Dalla Valle.
