17 lip 2022 · I can’t find anyone with a bad thing to say about the G-Penny spindles, and the value for money seems excellent at $350 aud landed, with the VFD. This version doesn’t have ceramic bearings like the 2.2kW versions, but I have no desire to mill steel, just aluminum, CF etc.
17 lip 2022 · Mainly I’m not quite at the stage where I can justify the costs of upgrading to Nema 23 motors + appropriate drivers. My existing Nema 17’s are beefy 48mm tall, 2.5 amp rated LDO 42STH48-2504AH units.

In this instructable, I'll take you along my journey as I share the process of upgrading the CNC3018 Pro. The objective is to transform it into a sturdy tool capable of precise and efficient aluminum milling.
This Upgrade gives you the Ultimate 3018 CNC Machine - PCB's and Aluminium can now be milled accurately. Build Steps: Remove the old X-axis rods and Z-axis carriage; Loosen the vertical X-axis mounts and slide them as far rear as they'll go, tighten the bolts (this minimises Y-axis area loss)
The values are given in the tables for each linear guideway system. Using these tables, the designer can select a suitable linear guideway system. The maximum static load to which a linear guideway system is subjected must not exceed the static load rating.
