17 lip 2022 · The chap I bought it from was originally asking $180, but at $160 I couldn’t say no as it’s about half the Aussie retail price ($339 AUD). I ordered a 65mm mount from local store Adam’s Bits, along with some Makita collets (3.175mm and 6mm).
17 lip 2022 · I can’t find anyone with a bad thing to say about the G-Penny spindles, and the value for money seems excellent at $350 aud landed, with the VFD. This version doesn’t have ceramic bearings like the 2.2kW versions, but I have no desire to mill steel, just aluminum, CF etc.
17 lip 2022 · Mainly I’m not quite at the stage where I can justify the costs of upgrading to Nema 23 motors + appropriate drivers. My existing Nema 17’s are beefy 48mm tall, 2.5 amp rated LDO 42STH48-2504AH units.
