These guidelines followed best practice and are endorsed by 39 organizations worldwide, making them the most robust source of evidence to guide clinical practice.
Among these guidelines are updated recommendations for the use of metformin in patients with PCOS. These recommendations advise that patients with PCOS and BMI≥25, impaired glucose tolerance, and/or adolescents age <18 should take metformin to prevent metabolic sequelae of PCOS (1).
