7 lis 2014 · It's encouraging to hear success stories. I've be ttv for 20 months and been on clomid for 4 months. This month we introduced metformin 1000mg and increased clomid to 100mg. I had no side effects from either but this week I'm so emotional and I've had mild cramps whilst taking clomid.
My clomid baby is 2 months old now!! It took 3 cycles for us after 19 cycles of unmedicated trying. I thought it wasn’t going to work and was discouraged when it didn’t happen the first two months but it made it a great surprise when it finally did on the 3rd round.
I started metformin a cycle before I tried clomid and that seemed to make improvements for me. I read a study that women with pcos who respond well to metformin will respond better to clomid than those who show no improvement on metformin alone.
