Finder Chart. The globular cluster Messier 2 is located in the constellation Aquarius, roughly five degrees north of the 2.9 mag bright star Sadalsuud (β Aquarii) about the same declination as the two stars Sadalmelik (α Aquarii, 3.0 mag) and Sadachbia (γ Aquarii, 3.8 like). As with almost all retrieval procedures, the choice of a large ...
M2 is a rich compact globular cluster at the edge of naked eye visibility that's located in the constellation of Aquarius. It's an easy binocular object (mag. +6.3) but requires a dark site with extremely good seeing conditions to be spotted with the naked eye.
General Blood Collection. Draw blood in the appropriate color-coded Vacuette® tube (see chart below). For serum or plasma, draw approximately 2 1/2 times the requested volume. For serum, allow the blood to clot 60 minutes and separate by centrifugation.
Messier 2, the Globular Cluster in Aquarius. Located about 36,000 ly away with an apparent magnitude of 6.6, it is only visible to the best eyes under very dark skies. However, it is readily visible with a small binocular, appearing as a round blur. Messier 2 is one of the oldest globulars with around 150,000 stars, it is also one of the ...
Chart showing location of M2. M2 is about 55,000 light-years distant from Earth. At 175 light-years in diameter, it is one of the larger globular clusters known. The cluster is rich, compact, and significantly elliptical. It is 12.5 billion years old and one of the older globular clusters associated with the Milky Way galaxy. [7]
