28 gru 2012 · It just refuses to allow me to install L4D2 (or TF2 now that I checked) in that new directory. The only option is the drive where Steam itself is located; the drop-down list doesn't even appear unlike some other games.

To install mods from other websites, first download. You may need something to unpack .rar files like 7Zip or WinRAR. The end file you want has a .vpk suffix. Navigate to the Steam/steamapps/common/left 4 dead 2/left4dead2/addons folder, and copy/paste the .vpk file there. That should be all you need to do.
