I spent 6 hours on hard mode completing the majority of the game so that I could create a verified list of bosses in the order you should fight them for the easiest playthrough. Without further delay, the boss order: Snake Man. Weak against: Buster Shot. Shadow Man. Weak against: Snake Weapon. Splash Woman. Weak against: Shadow Weapon.
