It’s not a dumb question 😊 Oxbow is a new map (with a completely different story questline) released on Dec 7th, and can be played either solo or multiplayer. You can’t “travel” there with an older character unfortunately.
It won't produce anything until it grows up, but it only costs half what an adult animal does. Find a village that has the animal you want, fx. pigs in Rolnica? (in the north-west), then find the small piglets, and click on them. Choose the pig shed and that's it. They'll be instantly transferred to your pig shed.
Before going to the village to buy pigs, go to Branica. The only shopkeeper here will sell you flax seeds. Pig prices are about 1000-1500. You can also buy chickens, hogs, and other animals and materials in the same shop in the unnamed village.
