20 sie 2015 · This game only runs on 32 bit machines, and I converted to a 64 bit OS sometime around Win 7. The only way to run this game on a 64 bit OS is to run in XP SP3 compatibility mode. However, I guess I should have reported that I tried the troubleshooter and it failed. It says 'Test the Program'.

15 sty 2020 · Both Med 2 (base game) and the Kingdoms expansion run fine on Win 10. However, some mods (e.g. Stainless Steel 6.4) consistently crashed for me, but running in compatibility mode (Win XP SP3) fixed it.
12 sie 2016 · I'm on windows 10 and have successfully downloaded/installed Medieval 2. But when I try to launch, no error message comes up yet the application doesn't start! Nothing happens.
TW: Medieval 2 on windows 10. Is there a way to get Medieval 2 + Kingdoms to work on windows 10? I have it working on Windows 8 but not on the newer ones. Also cannot seem to get into the newer total wars, Empire and Napoleon don't hold it for me.
