Find out if you qualify for home delivered meals. Volunteer. Some of our older neighbors go weeks without seeing another person. Your delivery provides a hot meal, a social connection and a check-in on their wellness and safety. Donate. Application Process. Anyone may recommend a person to be considered for receiving Meals On Wheels services. Most of our referrals come from family members, hospitals, home health agencies, friends, and clients themselves. We accept referrals online and over the phone at 817-336-0912.
Meals on Wheels Texas, is a 501(c)(3) association of home-delivered and congregate meal programs established to ensure every older person and individual with a disability in Texas is well nourished and has the social supports they need to age in place with dignity.
Meal eligibility –In order to receive Home Delivered Meals, each recipient must: Be 60 years or older. Be unable to prepare nutritious meals for themselves and have no one else living in the home who could do this for them. Live within reasonable proximity of a meal site. Be home to receive meals.
