1. Introduction Welcome to the MDPI style guide. Its purpose is to offer guidance and advice to authors writing intending to publish in an MDPI journal. Topics covered include formatting and conventions specific to MDPI, and some tips for how to improve clarity and writing style. This is a guide, not a set of instructions.
Presents the specific requirements for document content (text, graphics, equations, etc.), which work both for Word (formal style) and XML conversion (mark-up). Most rules given in this style guide are collected from “The ACS Style Guide” and PMC’s “File Submission Specifications”.
This style guide provides reference layout formatting instructions for MDPI Humanities and Social Sciences Journals. Please note that for General Guidelines (page and paragraph setting) and specific requirements of document content (text, graphics, equations, etc. except reference), please refer to the “The MDPI Layout Style Guide”.
13 gru 2021 · At MDPI we have slightly revised the layout for articles to be published in 2022 volumes, starting from 21 December 2021. The revised template has been made available for download from the Instructions for Authors page, which has been updated.
MDPI’s style for citations and references lists are widely based on the style used by the American Chemical Society. Please refer to the ACS Style Guide [1], or enquire with a journal’s editorial office, if you have any questions regarding preparation of citations and references lists.
