The McGill campus maps are updated regularly. Different formats are available to print: Easy-to-print visitors maps (8.5”x11”, black and white), Large public wayfinding maps for interior and exterior displays (poster sized, full colour), Site plans (A0 poster size, full colour).
This map was developed by Campus Planning and Development McGill. It is intended to provide an intuitive means of wayfinding at McGill University. The map will help members of the McGill Community, and visitors alike, easily navigate the campus.
13 wrz 2024 · The McLennan Library Data Lab has 14 work stations with GIS software, including ArcGIS Desktop (also called ArcMap) and QGIS. Free and open source tools. GIS software is required to view or use geospatial data. A list of free data-viewers is provided below. McGill Library does not endorse or provide support for any of these viewers.
McGill Library has an extensive map collection, with primary emphasis on Montreal, the province of Quebec, Canada, and the United States. The collection also includes international atlases, topographic maps and thematic maps for many of the world's countries.
Everyone at McGill can use our public GIC computers. They are especially equipped for use with geospatial software. At AnyDesk website you can connect to them on a first-come-first-served basis for up to 6 hours each time. For accessing any computer you need to be connected through McGill’s VPN.
ESRI Data and Maps includes various map data for different regions: World, Canada, Mexico, the United States, and Europe. Each level of geography includes basemap layers such as boundaries, cities, rivers, and roads.
