This is an excellent condition example of the Model 1895 Chilean Mauser Rifle, made by the renowned LUDWIG LOEWE ARMS COMPANY of BERLIN. It shows signs of light service, but still retains much of the original finish, and was definitely well cared for during its service life.
The rear sight has a fixed 100 yds and two fold up leaves, one each for 300 yds and 400 yds. The fitting is in excellent condition. The bore is bright and has very well defined rifling with no internal blemishes. The crown is in excellent condition with no marks or pitting.
