9 paź 2024 · Lateral Epicondylitis (also known as Tennis Elbow) is an overuse injury caused by eccentric overload at the origin of the common extensor tendon, leading to tendinosis and inflammation of the ECRB. Diagnosis is made clinically with tenderness over the lateral epicondyle made worse with resisted wrist extension.
Maudsley’s Test. This is sometimes called the middle finger extension test. The examiner places one hand on the common extensor tendon and one hand on the middle finger in a neutral position. The examiner then asks the patient to extend the middle finger of the affected arm.
