I feel the main difference is the style of programming that both languages invite you to do. Matlab is an imperative, procedural language; whereas Mathematica is a language which supports both imperative and declarative programming, but is mostly an (impure) functional language.
12 wrz 2015 · I built hundreds of matlab scripts to facilitate the procedure. You can do the same thing with Mathematica using Packages but the learning curve is a bit steeper. Mathematica 's symbolic manipulation is far better and easier to use than Matlab. I think the graphics in both systems are great.
