Algebra 1: Principles of Secondary Mathematics challenges students by building an in-depth knowledge of core algebraic topics. This rigorous course allows students to work more independently and provides resources so students can get themselves “unstuck” when they need help.
Math-U-See Algebra 1 integrates text, DVD, and manipulatives to teach all basic algebra concepts. These include basic properties, solving equations (including simultaneous equations), coin problems, exponents and square roots, scientific notation, unit multipliers, and metric conversions.
Core algebraic topics and objectives are presented and addressed understand the as students become fluent in the mathematical language, problem styles, with those words so and problem-solving and reasoning skills.
Students should move on to the next level once they’ve mastered the content of a book. These first eight books are followed by Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, PreCalculus with Trigonometry, and Calculus.
