Massachusetts residents will receive an RMV-2 renewal form in the mail before their registration expiration date. Otherwise, residents can file an RMV-3 form, getting it stamped by their insurance agent, in place of the RMV-2 form.
Renewing your vehicle registration online is very easy. You only need to: Fill up the fields and click ‘Submit’. Select the license plate type. Pay the renewal fee. The fee depends on the type of license plate. And you’re done! You can skip the lines at the RMV by renewing your vehicle registration by mail.
