23 gru 2020 · I'd like to hear about experiences with the 45-70, 450 Marlin, 444 Marlin on larger game such as elk, moose, bear and particularly on the great bears, the grizzlies... In my mind, a well handled big bore lever action seems like a great choice for such game, particularly if the range is modest.

22 sie 2024 · I have killed a few pigs and deer over the years with a Marlin lever action. Both a .44 Mag with open sights and a .357 Mag with a scope on a raised mount to clear the factory sights. Great way to spend an afternoon in a tree and get some meat with 30yd shots.
25 wrz 2023 · I’ve yet to see a .44 Magnum lever action rifle that would feed every factory load offered. Most of the loads tested in Marlin’s reintroduced 1894 shot like this or better at 50 yards using XS sights.
